Here, the approach was similar. At a time prior to the emerging popularity of Permanent Marker, the goal was taking the solvent, cream and velvet flavored properties of Permanent Marker and enhancing it with our experience dealing in a wide range of fruit flavors. The results were astounding. We noticed that our particular keeper allowed a certain level of dominance in the donor plants contributing largely to the progeny’s terpene profile while making the Permanent Marker’s physical qualities and undertones show up in the overall flavor. This meant our plants looked like Permanent Marker and tasted like it on the exhale, but the overarching characteristics came from each donor plant. As a result, we matched it with a long-standing keeper of Strawberry Gary in circulation with our friends for nearly a decade bringing strawberry candy towards a velvet Sharpie and cream profile. This is hands down, one of the top 5 Permanent Marker crosses to ever hit the market.
